Bryan Scary and The Shredding Tears To Embark On Filter-Sponsored Nationwide Tour.

Bryan Scary and his band, The Shredding Tears, will take its unique brand of kaleidoscopic, psychedelic pop out on the road this month for a nationwide tour sponsored by Filter throughout May and June. The band's debut album The Shredding Tears evokes the spirit of Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, Roald Dahl and H.G. Wells, and also incorporates sinister elements of macabre and epic fantasticism throughout its 15 tracks. The record is already commanding the attention of fans of late-period Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, Queen, XTC and The Kinks with its huge hooks, stories, dynamic arrangements and strangely infectious lyrics.

The folks at MySpace have taken note, and Bryan Scary and The Shredding Tears will be the site's featured artist from June 4th through June 10th. Not to be outdone, the celebrity blogger turned music tastemaker, Perez Hilton, also had some choice words about Mr. Scary (LINK).
