foursome, Peelander-Z launches a
50-date tour tonight at SXSW at the Chicken Ranch Records showcase at Valhalla in Austin. Peelander-Z
takes the stage at midnight. The band
will perform several more times throughout the week including shows at the Fader Fort, and the band’s own Peelander-Fest and Mad Tiger Festival. A

Following SXSW,
Peelander-Z will embark on a
cross-country trek that will keep the band occupied until mid-May supporting
its new album Metalander-Z, which references the glory days of hair metal’s
reign. Peelander-Z poured over hundreds of gear reviews and blogs, and
started collecting era-appropriate gear to construct Metalander-Z, a recording
that is both completely of its time and completely timeless. The album’s latest single “Killer Thunder” can be heard via an
exclusive premiere at The
A.V. Club.
