Portland favorite And And And has been named the “Best New Band of 2011” by local alt-weekly paper, Willamette Week.  The honor was documented in a cover story that hit the stands in the band’s hometown today.  The entire article can be read online here: http://www.wweek.com/portland/article-17445-best_new_band_2011.html.

To celebrate, Portland label Tender Loving Empire has released a new And And And digital EP entitled “Buy You.” A re-recorded version of the EP’s title track will appear on And And And’s upcoming full-length.  The album is currently in production with Blitzen Trapper members Eric Earley and Michael Van Pelt at the helm. Earley and Van Pelt also produced the track, “Haunt” which appears on the “Buy You” EP.

While most young bands would be claiming an upcoming album as a debut, this is not the case for And And And.  The band’s reputation has not only been made on a raucous, anything goes, get-kicked-out-of-your-own-show show, but also on consistent productivity in the area of songwriting.  In the past year, And And And has released two albums and four EPs and has no plans to halt its prolific nature anytime soon.
