Math The Band kick out the feel good jamz of the Summer of 2009!

New single “Why Didn’t You Get A Haircut” available now. New album Don’t Worry out next month.

Nationwide tour kicks off this weekend!

“If they continue to emit this abundance of noise and raw energy, they’ll doom themselves to a career plagued with reviews describing them as ‘hyper-kinetic,’ ‘frenetic,’ ‘manic,’ and other words that end with the letter ‘c.’ Unless they undergo an ill-advised radical change in direction, their velocious electroklash will keep getting likened to ‘what Rainbow Brite and her friends would sound like if they developed a meth habit and started a band.” – The Boston Phoenix

Check out the feel good jam of the Summer, “Why Didn’t You Get A HaircutHERE, and head over to XLR8R to see what the kids are saying about it.

Math The Band is boyfriend/girlfriend duo Kevin Steinhauser and Justine Mainville, a pair that carries themselves with a reckless abandon that has scored them a total of seven broken bones and nine staples to the forehead during their short career. The band’s performances are actually so high intensity that guitarist/vocalist Kevin has been known to lose his lunch offstage and on.

These wild antics are not just the result of giving back the intense love of the fans that attend Math The Band shows (to the tune of over half a million MySpace spins), but also an homage to the awesome commitment of the heroes that Math The Band has shared numerous stages with such as: Andrew WK, Matt and Kim, Adam Goren of Atom and His Package, Polysics, and Japanther.

Diehard fans often drive from up to six hours away to see Math The Band play anywhere from large concert halls, to high school cafeterias, to sweaty, packed basements. Deriving their sonic mantra from the childhood naivety that beckons in Wang Chung’s “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” Math The Band’s sound can be best described as a hard and furious mixture of screeching 8-bit sequenced keyboard lines, driving Casio drums and throat-shedding yelping amid a super high energy laced melodicism unmatched by any musical pair you have ever heard before.

Everything in your life so far adds up to Math The Band. See them on tour this summer!
