About TV Buddhas:

“TV Buddhas are a band that I liked the instant I heard them… This band is one lucky break away from breaking away.” - Ben Donnelly, Dusted Magazine

Originally based in Tel Aviv, but now located in Berlin, the three-piece rock band know as TV Buddhas will Americanize themselves over the course of a non-stop six-week tour of the US this Fall. The band will be supporting a new EP on the We Are Busy Bodies label. Dusted Magazine has already rung in with praise and now even more influential folks have the opportunity to hear the band via the “Let Me Sleep” (MP3) single.

TV Buddhas are the self proclaimed kings of geek bubblegum, the kids who prefer to stay at home and watch “Lord of The Rings” than go out and get drunk. The band consists of brother and sister Uri and Mickey Triest, and Mickey’s husband Juval Haring. Their music is heavily influenced by The Ramones, The Replacements and Richard Hell, while their lyrics lean more towards the outsider approach of Jonathan Richman and The Modern Lovers, directing their own anti-social heat against current day hipsters, Polaroid-glory and loud outgoing fun girls.

Their new self titled EP was recorded in one hour using one microphone and a field tape machine. TV Buddhas has completed over 400 shows in the past three years, mainly in Europe, and will be touring the US for the first time in the fall of 2010. See below for a complete itinerary of US tour dates.
