“…enduringly bright, promising and wonderful.” – Mary Leary, Blurt

“You can almost feel the movement of the earth while listening to These Magnificent Miles.” – The Rock and Roll Report

“I’ve already played it seven times in a row, and it looks like it’ll go an eighth… ninth, and most likely fifteenth time before I’m done here.” – The Front Loader

“We're talking some seriously high caliber musicians folks. One song in and I was hooked. They proceeded to blow me away song by song.” – Quirky New York Chick

“I’ve made them an exception to my no-majors rule because this album is damn good.” – Berkeley Place

Columbus, Ohio’s Red Wanting Blue is beginning to take its place on the national stage, with a feature in the respected music journal Blurt Magazine perfectly capturing the band and what makes Red Wanting Blue one to keep an eye on. Read the full story HERE. The piece by esteemed writer Mary Leary explains how even though at first “audio glance” Red Wanting Blue didn’t seem to make her kind of music, at the end of the day she’s “…a fan of everything enduringly bright, promising and wonderful.” Some say that Red Wanting Blue is the band that makes hipsters lose their cool and it’s true. The band’s music is so powerful, sincere, hopeful and perseverant, only the most hardened hearts can survive. See a performance of “Your Alibi” HERE.

Fans of the band know this all too well as they continue to pack venues for what has become known as one of the must-see live performances traveling the country today. No one seems to leave a Red Wanting Blue show without feeling something special has happened and the band will follow-up up its last sold-out Mercury Lounge show in NYC with a special showcase on Sept. 21st, 2010 at 9PM. The industry has started to buzz about Red Wanting Blue and the congregated will have a chance to see what the fuss is about at this early gig. The show will also celebrate the launch of a push to commercial radio for the popular Red Wanting Blue song “Where You Wanna Go” (MP3) which will begin to hit the radio airwaves the week before. It is the first time the band has had such a large opportunity to be heard and everyone involved is very excited for the song to reach the hearts and minds of America.

If you’re new to Red Wanting Blue, a talented fan recently completed and posted a short mini-documentary with the co-operation of the band. Seen HERE, the clip takes you right into the Red Wanting Blue’s tour bus (a toy store on wheels, essentially) and right on to the stage with Scott, Markus, Greg, Eric and Dean. For those wanting more of this, word is that the feature-length documentary on Red Wanting Blue’s long and unique story is nearing completion. “Never Enough: The Story of The Greatest Band You’ve Never Heard Of” is produced by Davenport Theatrical (Avenue Q, Will Ferrell’s You’re Welcome America) and is tagged on the company’s website thusly: “They have thousands of fans. But they’ve yet to get a record deal. And they’ve also yet to give up.” Wonder how this one will turn out???

Red Wanting Blue is available for interviews. Members of the media are invited to attend the Sept. 21st, 2010 Mercury Lounge performance. Contact Josh Bloom for more information.
